LPU Scholarship 2026 will be offered to students based on their merit and financial needs. Lovely Professional University strongly believes that monetary constraints should not hinder students from accessing quality education. So, the university extends the scholarship scheme worth INR 6 Lakhs per student based on various parameters. 

LPU scholarships are awarded to students based on eligibility criteria, the LPU National Entrance and Scholarship Test (LPUNEST), and the performance of students in various cultural, R&D, and co-curricular activities. The university provides lucrative scholarships in around 150 programs to its students, ranging from Diploma programs to Ph.D.

LPU students have been awarded scholarships worth more than INR 100 crores in the previous year. The institute is sponsoring a study grant of INR 1 lakh for each student who qualifies for LPUNEST. In this way, the university extends a scholarship scheme for students who wish to study at LPU. Under the ‘LPUNEST Study Grant’ initiative, students can avail of financial assistance to study at higher education institutions other than LPU.

Lovely Professional University has provided a study grant worth Rs. 6.8+ Crore to deserving students. Students from programs of Engineering, Management, Hotel Management, Law, Medical, and Design availed the benefits of this scholarship scheme.  Around 70% of the enrolled students were covered under the LPU scholarship scheme. Admissions at LPU take place across several phases, and the scholarship benefits vary depending on when a candidate applies or enrolls. Phase I, running from January to April, provides the maximum scholarship opportunities, while Phase II, beginning in May, offers comparatively reduced benefits.

LPU Scholarship Guidelines

The various guidelines for the LPU Scholarship 2025 that will be awarded to students are listed below:

• The scholarships apply only to Indian students.
• The scholarships are awarded by verifying the documents, certificates, and any other documents required by the university.
• Students must read the eligibility criteria that are mentioned clearly on the LPU official website before applying for any LPU scholarship.
• Even if a student is eligible for more than one scholarship, they are awarded only one scholarship as per the student's choice.
• A candidate who was admitted under the Post Matric Scholarship or any other Government Scholarship and is eligible for the full program fee waiver can either avail of a Scholarship offered by the Government Agency or the LPU Punjab Scholarship offered by the university.
• In case a candidate opts for programme transfer, even then, they get the scholarship benefit from the prior course in which they were admitted. However, students must note that no separate LPUNEST schedule is conducted for such candidates.
• The LPU scholarships apply only to full-time students and not for distance learning.
• In case a student is charged with disciplinary action or misconduct, then the Scholarship can be revoked.
• A minimum attendance and CGPA maintenance rule is levied for the continuation of the scholarships.
• In case of false information or incorrect bank details, the scholarship could be canceled.
• The LPU Scholarship Committee reserves the right to award and cancel the scholarship at any given time.
