Hostels will start from this year Hostels has a good quality of room Quality food Good quality of classrooms, well-maintained labs, cool library, and good infrastructure.
No hostels. There is a mess in college. Where I daily use to go for breakfast. Classrooms, labs, dining halls are great here. No wifi available for the campus.
The hostel is under construction it will be soon complete in upcoming days. Food quality is also normal and they also maintain hygiene environment. Quality of everything is good except administration office they are too lazy for doing work, I had worst experience with them every time whenever I face them.
There is one weakness, this college has no hostel, PGs. Well, the canteen is great pure vegetarian. Cost of each meal is 30, 50 like that per plate. Quality of classroom is good as we have to study only. Wifi is there in our college
This is probably the college’s USP. Lokmanya Tilak College of Engineering (LTCE) has a really good infrastructure, with well maintained classrooms and, more importantly, washrooms. The labs are clean and well-equipped too. To top it all, they have a Massive campus, with basketball and badminton courts, a full-size football ground and other indoor sports like table tennis and carrom. However, lots of parts of the campus are still under construction and students face a plethora of problems currently.
Lokmanya Tilak College of Engineering has an excellent campus well lit out latest amenities. In infrastructure facilities college imparts following facilities:
College imparts Separate hostel facilities for both boys and girls. The hostel of the college is well kit out with necessary amenities. Mess facility is also available for students, where students get delicious food.
College imparts laboratories facilities for its learners, which are well kit out with latest tools, which are essential for engineering programmes. Lokmanya Tilak College of Engineering campus has a well separate computer laboratory with internet facilities.
The library of the college is a ocean of knowledge, located on the fifith floor, imparting excellent learning for all students & faculty. The libary of the college is extended in an area of over 5000sq.ft. Colleg library comprises books, CDs, DVDs, project reports, university question papers, e-resources, etc. Apart from tis there is a seprater mutimedia room, which include internet connectivity, headphones, scanner, web camera, etc.
College classrooms are well ventilated and well equipped with all modern audio-visual instruments like projectors, whiteboards, Wi-Fi connectivity and Public Addressing Systems. The facilities make learning favourable for the students and give them practical knowledge about their programmes.
The R&D lab which first commenced in 2004. Both the students as well as the faculty are actively involved with incoming projects from adjacent industries. In 2005, the college succeeded in receiving a sponsored and collaborative research project in association with Konkan Railway Corporation Limited, which was completed in 2008.
The college successfully carries out many cultural and technical events every year. The technical festival consists of challenging robotics competitions, technical paper presentations, technical seminars, workshops and intelligence quizzes. Initially, five technical festivals were held every year till 2007 — Surge (Elec.), Ethos (Comp.), Zigma (ELEX), Mechtrix (MECH) and Threshold (EXTC). The technical festivals were then merged to form Tech-Zephyr; the named is derived from Zephyr, the college's cultural festival. Unlike most other engineering colleges, LT holds a 'parents teachers meet' after mid-term exams where a student's academic performance is reviewed.
Zephyr is the only cultural festival under Mumbai University to have been amongst the very first to apply for and clinched a trademark. (Zephyr is a service marked event and the school is proud of the fact that ZEPHYR SM is a brand.) Zephyr is the only known cultural festival in India which has taken up the environmental cause of global warming.
Zephyr’s core audience consists of ecologically and socially conscious people throughout Mumbai and across the state of Maharashtra consisting largely of cultural creatives who actively support sociological causes like global warming, AIDS, etc. Attendees represent one of the fastest growing markets in India with attendees largely coming from Mumbai and its surrounding education hubs, often cited as the most open-minded and socially progressive regions in the country.
Zephyr is held during the summer term, which attracts students from engineering colleges all over Navi Mumbai to participate. The most notable events are the 'War of Bands', 'dance competitions', 'Dramatics', 'Fashion Shows', 'singing competitions', etc.
