The Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, [LUVAS] Hisar is the an independent University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences. The University was established in 2010 in pursuance of the Haryana Act No. 7 of 2010. The college is located in the Hisar district of Haryana. The University is named in memory of Lala Lajpat Rai who was a great patriot and one of the freedom fighters of India. The college is approved by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research [ICAR]. The college has a glorious history and a good past record of great academic excellence and research.
The Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences courses include Veterinary Anatomy, Veterinary Pathology, Veterinary Immunology, Animal Nutrition, etc.TheUniversity imparts education in different branches of Veterinary, Animal science, fishery Science and allied sciences. Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc & A.H) Candidates must have passed in 10+2 examination and obtained a minimum of 50% marks (except SC category) in aggregate of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects from a recognized University. SC category candidates will be allowed a relaxation up to 5% of the requirement for General Category. B.Tech (Dairy Technology) To get admission for B.Tech course at the Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences applicant should have completed 10+2 or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (except SC category) of the subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects from a recognised board. Placement at Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, [LUVAS] Hisar: The Student Counseling and Placement cell is responsible for placing students after completion of the course. The placement cell is headed by a current professor at the University. The cell guides and trains students to face the recruitment process. It maintains a database of potential recruiters and remains in touch with most of them. Disease Free Animal House: This facility is responsible for raising different kinds of laboratory animals like Rats, Hamster, Guinea Pigs etc. The animals are used both for teaching and research purposes. ICT Infrastructure: The ICT infrastructure is overlooked by a team headed by the Dean of the University.
