The Library is housed in a separate 3 storey building with a spacious Reading Room for the students. The Library of the College was initially set up to provide the college students with the books within their academic curricula. But the collections from the local culture and dialects were added afterwards. Also the journals and periodicals for teachers and researchers have been given due place in the collection. Today there are more than 21,000 books in the College library. The students’ book ratio stands approximately at 1:21 which is very healthy.
Kurseong College is likely to get a girls’ hostel from this session (2014-15) itself. The final touches are being given to the building. The hostel will be open for students once the three-storey building gets electricity and water connection. The building can accommodate 30 students. Representatives of the UGC have already visited the college and inspected the construction work. Students from the entire Darjeeling Hills, North Bengal, Sikkim, Nepal and Bhutan studying in Kurseong College will be benefited by the inauguration of the Hostel.
