Facilities :-

Hostels

College has its own well-equipped hostels for Boys and Girls with all basic facilities. The hostel accommodation is available for students in separate boys and girls hostel.

Boys Hostel

The college has a separate boys hostel, house in a spacious building. It accommodates 100 boys.  Important facilities available in the boys hostels are hot water, filtered drinking water, canteen, indoor games, news papers, Earn and Learn scheme, etc.

Girls Hostel

The girls hostel comprises of two spacious buildings and accommodates 150 girl students.  All rooms are well furnished.  Important facilities available in these hostels are Hot water through Solar system, filtered water for drinking, Mess, canteen, T.V., film (cinema) projection, reading room, indoor games, newspapers, S.T.D. booth, first aid , electric power generator, Earn and Learn scheme, etc.

Virtual Learning Centre

In collaboration with “Yashwantrao Chavan Maharastra Open University, Nasik” and “Chanakya Mandal, Pune” the Study Centre of MPSC-UPSC and Foundation course on Soft Skill Development was started in the college from 15th August 2007. In this course Shri. Avinash Darmadhikari of Chanakya Mandal, Pune and their expert staff guide the students on MPSC-UPSC competitive examinations through satellite from Nasik as well as Pune studio.

Library

The Central library houses around 13,530 books and references. College subscribes to a large number of periodicals and journals. It has a photocopying facility which is open to staff and students for use. The library has a spacious reading hall, which can accommodate about 50 students at a time. The students can sit there and refer books, journals and newspapers, etc. Since the college library is the main centre for students to carry out their scholastic activities, care is taken to keep it open for maximum number of days and hours. The Reading Hall, where a student is expected to study will remains open :

From - 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. - Monday to Friday

And 9 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. - Saturday

Students should bring with them their Identity Cards while entering the Reading Hall, failing which they will not be allowed enter into hall.

Students Magazine

Student’s magazine named “Dnyansthambh“is published from time to time to publish the literary work of our students and to give recognition to their creative writing. This also highlights some of the achievements and remarkable features of the students, staff and the college as a whole. Articles written by students in English, Hindi and Marathi are published in the magazine.

National Service Scheme

In our college, National Service Scheme (NSS) has been running successfully from 1994. At present the strength of our NSS unit is of 250 volunteers. The NSS activities are carried out with great enthusiasm. Some of the remarkable activities carried out by NSS volunteers are blood donation, water conservation, tree plantation, AIDS awareness and project on rural development.

The college is implementing special camping activities in different villages, to make the villagers aware of the idea of cleanliness, health and hygiene. Also we try to eradicate superstition by conducting programmes as well as lectures from resource persons. Our NSS volunteers have also participated in various State and National level Camping Programmes.

Earn and Learn Scheme

The college is running the Earn and Learn Scheme in collaboration with University of Pune for needy students. The college accommodates maximum number of students in this scheme. The students are allotted different types of work like gardening, computer typing, library services etc. Care is taken to ensure that the students develop their competence and employability through the work they do. The earn and Learn scheme was started by the college in 1995 and it has benefited thousands of extremely poor and needy students in pursuing higher education.

Sports & Gymnasium

The college has spacious play grounds for playing games like Football, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Volleyball, Basketball, Handball, and Badminton. The college has also a well equipped gymnasium, 400 ,100 meter standard running Track, Cricket ,Long Jump Track and Shot-put Arena.

A separate gymnasium hall (668.30 Sq. Meter) well equipped with gymnastics and physical conditioning equipments are available solely for the students.  This hall is also utilized for playing indoor games like basketball, Badminton, wrestling table tennis, carrom, chess and gymnastics etc.

The incentives given to outstanding sports a person includes:

Track suits and blazers,

Felicitation of the outstanding sport Mens.

Medical Facilities

Graduate students and Hostelites will have to compulsorily undergo medical checkup as per the University directive.  The schedule of the medical check-up is notified after the commencement of the first term.  The college authorities have also made available the services of an Honorary Medical Officer who shall be available in the nearby Dnyaneshwar Rural Public Health Centre, Bhende.
