Akole Taluka Education Society was established in March 1972 as a result of a long-standing demand from the local population for a centre of higher learning in this area. In July 1974, college was began as 'Arts and Commerce College. Now-a days college bearing the name 'Agasti Arts, Commerce and Dadasaheb Rupwate Science College'. During these 39 years the college has developed its own basic infrastructure with the help of local funds, Government and U.G.C. assistance.
Aims and Objective
The College has excellent infrastructure like central library, well equipped laboratories, lecture halls centralized computer and internet access, playground with 400 meter running track and a , gymnasium having 16 stations Multi Gym and other weight training and weight lifting facilities as well.
Junior College was established in 1974. The wings of the junior college are Arts, College, and Science. For all these streams, all subjects are taught. The subjects taught also include IT for
