IIRM Hyderabad is a joint initiative of the IRDAI and the Government of Telangana. The Institute of Insurance and Risk Management is dedicated solely to providing education in financial services like Finance & Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, Risk Management, Actuarial Science, Marketing, Data Science & Analytics, and allied areas. IIRM Hyderabad provides an All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) accredited PGDM program with various specializations.

The placement drive for the academic year 2020-22 is still in process, and about 90% of the students have received placements, with the highest package offered to date being INR 15.40 LPA with an average of INR 8.39 LPA. Companies from a variety of industries, mostly in the private sector, are invited to participate in campus recruitment campaigns for entry-level employment (the majority of which begin as Management Trainees).
