IIM Trichy offers 3 PGPM courses. The PGPM programs offered by the institute are in different formats and are equivalent to MBA. The total number of seats available for all PGPM courses is 200. IIM Trichy PGPM Admission 2026

IIM Trichy flagship program, the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM) course, is equivalent to an MBA program. It is a two-year and is offered in different specializations such as general management, Information Systems & Analytics, Finance & Accounting, and Economics Policies.

Post-Graduate Programme in Management-Human Resources (PGPM-HR) is the first domain-specific program offered by IIM Trichy. It is a two-year, full-time residential, which was introduced in 2020.

The selection process consists of three stages. In each stage, the candidate's competence is tested through various parameters like personal interviews, work experience, academic scores, gender diversity, etc. The final selection will be based on the combined score from the overall score drawn from the screening tests.

The IIM Trichy participates in CAP (Central Admission Process). The IIMs taking part in the CAP have agreed to implement a standard admissions procedure (CAP 2024 process) for PI, which was overseen by IIM Kashipur last year. When creating the merit list, the candidate's results from the CAP 2026 PI would be taken into account. On behalf of all participating IIMs, the coordinating institute for the CAP 2026–28 batch will announce the precise date for PI.

Stage 1: Appearing for Entrance Exam

IIM Trichy PGPBM Selection Process

IIM Trichy's selection process for PGPBM includes a few steps. These are given in detail below:

Step 1: Application 

Interested candidates must fill out the application form through the official website. Before filling out the form, however, the applicants must read the admission criteria carefully. 

Step 2: Written Test

Once the application is accepted, applicants will find the admit card on the official website. 

The date for the written test will be provided on the website. The written exam will assess the candidates' verbal, quantitative, logical reasoning, and data interpretation abilities. The test will run for around one and a half hours.

Applicants who successfully complete the CAT 2024 or GMAT exam will not need to take the written exam. However, if they wish to appear for the written exam, the CAT or GMAT scores will not be considered for the admission  process. 

Step 3: Personal Interview and Document Verification.
