It is safe to say that the institute has marked its presence among the top business schools in the country within a short span of time.

Needless to say, the Management programs offered by the institute and its counterparts are among the country's elite categories. With the Post Graduate Program in Management (PGPM) as its flagship program, the institute offers a wide range of courses at different levels for different durations. The institute also has a newly added 5-year Integrated Program in Law (IPL), which has already marked its place in the top programs list. 

Another popular program the institute offers is its 5-year Integrated Program in Management (IPM), designed for students who plan to pursue a career in the business world right after school. It helps the students' overall development and prepares them for the competitive atmosphere. Initially, students were apprehensive about joining the course as it is a relatively new addition, but its potential to grow and help future students is assuring. 

Besides its flagship programs, the institute offers traditional Master of Business Administration (MBA) courses across various specialisations. The MBA program at IIMR is highly regarded in the industry as its curriculum covers a large area of topics required to succeed in the business environment.

Expensive Course Fee Structure

The annual tuition fee for its flagship program, PGPM, for the current academic year is INR 8,95,000. As mentioned above, the course fees for integrated Management and Law programs vary each year. The annual tuition fee for IPM for the first three years is INR 5,50,000, the same as for PGPM for the final two years of the program. 

The annual fee for IPL programs in the first two years is INR 6,00,000, INR 5,00,000 for the third and fourth years, and INR 6,35,000 for the fifth year. In other words, the total fee for the 5-year IPL program is INR 28,35,000.

The institute offers financial assistance to doctoral students as fellowships. The scholars will receive a sum of INR 30,000 for the first two years and INR 35,000 after passing the second year. It also offers scholarships to students based on their merit and financial need. 

Strict Attendance Policy

The institute has a strict attendance policy mandates 100% attendance for all programs. However, there will be leniency in the attendance requirements for valid reasons. The institute is said to take disciplinary action against students who fail to attain attendance.

Faculty members closely monitor attendance and absence without a legitimate reason is strictly prohibited. However, attendance is flexible for the Fellowship students and is based on the course and faculties.

An interesting factor about the library at the institute is that it is open to students 24/7, making it convenient for students to use the library whenever they need to.

Even though some areas require improvement, the institute has ample sports facilities to cater to the needs of the students. There is a significant multi-purpose ground where students can indulge in sports and games, such as cricket, football, volleyball, etc. 

There are also open basketball courts, badminton courts, table tennis tables, and common areas for other games between hostels. The institute also has a well-equipped gymnasium to ensure students maintain their physical health. It is also making constant improvements to provide more facilities every year.

Multiple canteens and food stalls within the institute campus offer different kinds of food and beverages at affordable prices. There are adequate seating areas around the canteens where students can spend time with their friend groups.

Well-Maintained Housing Facilities

The institute offers hostel facilities for both male and female students within its premises. The hostel rooms are well-designed and maintained by the housekeeping staff. There are 3 and 4-bedroom flats in all hostels for degree students and single-room hostels for research students. 

The single rooms with attached bathrooms are mostly allotted to students in their second year of the course as per vacancies. All hostels have common areas that can be used for kitchens and other purposes. 

As mentioned above, the hostels also have different sports facilities that students can use in their free time. Though a big campus spread over 200 acres of land, students can reach their classes within 2 minutes from the hostels. Additionally, there are elevators in the hostel blocks, making it easy for students to move around more conveniently.

Generally, the hostels are considered top-notch compared to the housing facilities provided by other institutions nationwide. Also, since it is a newer IIM, the facilities and amenities at the hostels at IIMR are modern and meet the requirements of the students from the current academic year. 

The mess facilities at the hostels are managed by students, and timely meals are provided. The students are given nutritious and hygienic food through private vendors. The dining areas are also clean and properly maintained. Students also have the freedom to order food online.

The safety and security of students are assured by 24/7 security services at the entry and exit points. However, the rules and regulations at the hostels are lenient and not strictly enforced.

The hostel fees vary based on the room type, occupancy, and the availability of air conditioning. Generally, the annual hostel fees for male and female students are INR 25,000. An additional yearly fee of INR 50,000 is charged for mess facilities. In addition to on-campus housing facilities, there are multiple PGs available around the institute premises for nominal rents. 

Dynamic & Lively Campus Experience

Alongside providing outstanding education, the overall campus culture at the institute is vibrant and enriching through the multitude of clubs and extracurricular activities available. Student-led clubs, associations and societies are among the most integral parts of campus life, allowing students to participate in several events and activities that contribute to their overall learning and development.

Dress Code

While there is no defined uniform or strict dress code, students are encouraged to dress decently for classes and in common areas. However, students are mandated to wear formal attire for presentations, events and placement interviews. Apart from that, there are few restrictions regarding the campus dress code.
