IIFT Delhi is considered to be one of the best B-schools in the country, with MBA being its flagship course. It is said to be the finest institute for students who intend to pursue a career in Trade.

As the institute offers MBA programs, unlike most of the B-schools that offer diploma programs, aspirants have increased chances of gaining international recognition. 

Alongside Trade, the institute has also gained a place among the top institutes of India in the field of Finance. IIFT Delhi offers myriad specializations in MBA courses. Students in the past have managed to get placements in several e-commerce companies. Riveting Courses in Management

The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, Delhi, offers several postgraduate, diploma and doctoral programs in the field of Management. Apart from different levels, the students also have the option to select the course type and how they would like to pursue their course, as there are online, full-time, and weekend courses available in the institute.

Apart from the traditional MBA courses, the institute offers Executive Postgraduate Diploma programs in two main specializations. The executive programs are offered on campus.

For those who find it difficult to relocate to Delhi but wish to obtain education from the institute, IIFT provides them with an option to pursue their education online.

Courses & Fees

Though for the MBA course, students get the best of the return on investment upon graduation, the course fees does feel expensive for many students to afford. There are also no significant scholarships that are offered to ease the burden of fees for the students.

Finest Faculty in India

The faculty members of the institute have played an integral role in turning IIFT Delhi to be considered the ‘mecca of Trade’. The professors are highly qualified and the best in the country in terms of their experience and expertise in the field. 

With a strong academic background, almost all the professors at the institute are Ph.D. holders in their respective domains. However, according to the past years’ students, the professors for other departments apart from that of Trade are not easily approachable. They are said to put little to no effort into imparting quality education to the students, with outdated presentations and study materials. 

The professors are shared by MDI and IIFT, which leads to a lack of dedication as the main focus of these teachers is mere financial benefits.

Small-Scale Infrastructure

In comparison to the other B-schools in the country, the campus infrastructure of IIFT Delhi is very small, with only 6 acres of area. Nevertheless, the institute campus comprises all the essential facilities required for its students. As the overall number of students studying in the institute is less, the limited area of the campus helps the peer-to-peer interactions.

Although located in the middle of the city, the lush green campus provides a calm atmosphere to the students. The institute library is the best of its kind, with a massive collection of over 84,000 volumes and 800 journal subscriptions. The library serves as the storehouse of information for the students, researchers and professors.

The computer centre on campus enables the students to have access to multiple facilities in the IT infrastructure. For those students who are interested in sports activities, the campus has a decent-sized Badminton Court, Table Tennis space and Basketball Court.

Adequate Housing Facilities

IIFT Delhi infrastructure includes well-furnished hostel facilities, with all the required amenities made available for the male and female students. The first-year students are allocated three-sharing rooms, and the second-year students are allotted twin-sharing rooms. 

The hostel mess provides timely meals in a clean and hygienic dining area. Students also have access to internet connectivity within the hostel. The approximate hostel fees ranges between INR 36,000 - 54,000 per trimester. The entire hostel is equipped with security surveillance and is a safe place for students. Additionally, the students have the availability of paying guests and hostel facilities outside the campus with nominal rents.

Space for Everyone

As mentioned earlier, the campus consists of fewer students than the other institutes due to the arduous admission process. Therefore, all students are familiar with their peers. Multiple events are conducted on the campus, including festival celebrations. The aspirants can indulge in different co-curricular and sports activities using the facilities available on campus. In general, the peer relations are wholesome.

Moreover, there are multiple clubs and committees led by students who are involved in different activities, which helps in the overall development of the students. Several opportunities are provided by the institute for the students to nurture their skills and talents. It is up to the students to utilize every available opportunity to their benefit.

Diverse Learning Experience

Students from all walks of life are part of the institute. The campus crowd includes students from engineering as well as other disciplines, which enables a peer learning environment where knowledge is shared. Apart from that, students from different parts of the country study at the institute, which makes it a culturally diverse atmosphere. All students are provided with equal opportunities regardless of their gender, caste, creed, etc. 

IIFT does not have any strict rules or reguations. However, students are expected to maintain a respectful behaviour towards their peers and the college staff. 

Dress Code

IIFT Delhi does not have a preset uniform that is implicated on the campus. However, students are expected to wear formal attire for events and on other occasions. The basic dress code for the campus is semi-formal. Students must be presentable and abide by the rules set by the institute.

Plethora of Opportunities

As it is considered to be the best institute for Trade, several reputed organizations, like OECD, the World Trade Centre, WTO and the European Union, are interested in recruiting students from the institute. 

The institute also gives students the possibility to do summer internships that give them real-world experience, which is an added advantage when it comes to the recruitment process. All departments of the institute, Finance, Marketing, IT and Analytics, and others, have high success rates in availing the students of summer internships in prestigious companies.

According to the latest placement report of the institute, the highest international salary package offered to its students is INR 85.4 LPA, and the highest domestic CTC is INR 76.5 LPA. The average CTC of the graduates is INR 29.1 LPA, with the median at INR 26.5 LPA. The placement opportunities are available to all students graduating from the institute due to the lesser number of graduates.
