Placements & Internships :
The BCA placements at IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus are decent. Students become eligible from the 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, and startups visit for roles such as Software Trainee, IT Support, and Junior Developer. Around 65–80% students get placed, with an average package of ₹3–4 LPA and highest around ₹6–8 LPA. Internships are also provided after the second year, which help build skills. Overall, the course prepares us well for IT jobs or higher studies like MCA.
Entrance Exams & Admissions :
For the BCA course at IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus, the admission process is simple and merit based. The basic eligibility is passing 10+2 from a recognized board with Mathematics as a subject and the required minimum percentage. For my batch, no entrance exam was conducted. I filled out the online application form available on the college website and paid a small application/registration fee during the process. After submitting the form, I received a phone call from the admission team, where a short telephonic interview was taken to understand my background, interest in the course, and basic communication skills. Based on my Class 12 marks and the interview, I was offered admission.
There is no fixed national cutoff, but students with average to good marks in Class 12 generally get selected, so the cutoffs are moderate and student friendly. The process also included document verification and counseling before final confirmation. Students from SC/ST/OBC categories did not get separate admission cutoffs, but they can later apply for government scholarships after admission. Overall, the admission experience was smooth, quick, and stress free, making it easy for students to secure a seat in the BCA program.
Fees & Scholarships :
For my BCA program at IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus, the fee is paid year wise and comes to nearly ₹1.5 lakh per year, which covers teaching, lab use, library access, and exam related charges, along with a small one time deposit at the start. Over three years, the overall cost is around ₹4.5 lakh, and from what seniors shared, the amount usually increases a little for each new batch. Many students in my class benefit from financial help, especially those with strong academic records or those applying through state scholarship schemes, so roughly one fourth of the batch gets some relief. A few students opt for study loans, mostly from national banks, and the process is simple once the college provides the required documents. On the career side, the campus regularly hosts internship drives and placement support, and companies from IT and service sectors visit for roles like trainee and support profiles, which helps students gain early work experience.
Academics & Faculty :
The BCA course curriculum at IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus is designed to build a strong base in computer applications, covering subjects like programming in C and Java, data structures, databases, operating systems, networking, web development, and basic management. The flow of subjects from basics to advanced topics makes learning gradual and practical. The curriculum feels relevant for both entry level IT jobs and higher studies like MCA.
My experience with the faculty has been positive. Most teachers are well qualified, knowledgeable, and efficient, and they explain concepts patiently using examples from real situations. The faculty to student ratio is around 1:25, so we get enough personal attention. Teaching methods include lectures, lab sessions, demonstrations, presentations, and small projects, which help in understanding both theory and practice.
The college follows a semester system, and exams are generally held on time with internal tests before the end semester exams. The level is moderate if you attend classes regularly. Teachers also provide notes, PPTs, and reference material, and guide us on what to focus on for exams. Overall, the curriculum and faculty together create a supportive learning environment that helps students grow technically and academically.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities :
The campus infrastructure at IMS Ghaziabad is well laid out and supports both academic and personal needs of students. Classrooms are spacious, clean, and equipped with projectors, smart boards, and good seating, which make learning comfortable. The entire campus has Wi-Fi connectivity, so students can study or access online materials from most areas. The computer labs are functional, with updated systems that help us practice coding and software tools. The library is a good place to study quietly and has many books, reference materials, and journals relevant to our BCA subjects.
Yes, the college provides in-campus hostel facilities for both boys and girls. The hostels are secure and monitored, with rooms that come in shared formats. Rooms are basic but maintained, with fans, lights, clean water, and regular housekeeping. The mess food is simple and hygienic, offering regular Indian meals; though the variety can sometimes be limited, it is satisfactory overall. Facilities like common rooms, laundry support, and medical assistance are available, which make living on campus convenient.
For students who prefer off-campus stay, there are many PGs and rented accommodations near the campus at affordable rates, typically closer to main roads or markets. These cost-effective options range from shared rooms to private PGs, and many seniors have stayed in these with monthly rents that are cheaper than hostel fees, plus they offer meals and housekeeping. Overall, whether staying on campus or nearby, students have good infrastructure and comfortable living choices.
Clubs & Associations :
My college life at IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus has been enjoyable and well balanced even though I did not take the hostel. The social life on campus is friendly, and I made good connections with classmates through group work, daily interactions, and activities. The college has active student clubs and societies related to culture, tech, management, sports, and social service, which organize quizzes, debates, workshops, and fun events that keep campus life engaging.
The college celebrates annual cultural fests and important days like Independence Day, Republic Day, Diwali, and other festivals, which bring students together. Sports such as volleyball, badminton, football, and indoor games are encouraged, and these activities help refresh our minds after classes.
Overall, my campus experience has been positive with a disciplined yet welcoming environment. Even as a day scholar, I felt included in campus life. The college could improve by arranging more inter-college events and industry interactions, but overall IMS Ghaziabad has given me a supportive space to learn, grow, and enjoy student life.
