Fr. C. Rodrigues Institute of Technology was established in 1994 as an extension of the pioneering efforts of the Agnel Ashram fathers in the arena of Technical Education with the relentless pursuit of excellence as its guiding force. Fr.CRIT in a short span of time established itself as a leading Engineering college in Mumbai, bagging at least one university 1st rank every year starting with its first graduating batch.

It has also made its mark in sports, extra-curricular and co-curricular activities. In recognition of the fact that it imparts high quality value-based technical education, made possible by its dedicated staff and extensive facilities, the Government of Maharashtra awarded Fr.C.R.I.T. an A grade in its first assessment. Similarly of the eligible four branches that had applied were awarded accreditation by the National Board of Accreditation.

Our Vision

Our vision at Fr. C. Rodrigues Institute of Technology is not only to impart professionally sound education to our students, but also to inculcate in them, values of secularism, discipline, faith in hard work, truth, honesty and brotherhood.

We help the students to emerge as respectable citizens, legitimately proud of their rich national heritage and to experience with deep feeling, the joy of being a part of this large human family. We continuously look for adequate means to provide our students with the right skills so that they tune themselves to make the right strides in their pursuit of true success, in this era of ‘survival of the fittest’. It is our firm belief that only sincere love for each other can lead to the fullest realization and accomplishment of one’s own self.

All this is the progressive unfolding of our motto – “Love your Neighbour As Yourself”. This leads us, namely all the members of the Agnel Family, to the gradual and full realization of the great truth in “VASUDHAIVA KUTUMBAKAM”, meaning - ‘the world is but one family’.
