DBIT accepts scores in Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) and Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) for admission to Bachelor’s course.

After my Pre university course I wrote CET which is entrance test for government seats in medical and engineering colleges. The process was to put in the option of colleges & course in that college you like and then depending on rank and seats available government would allocate seat . And after getting allotment letter we had to take it to college and get admitted.
Cutoff for my Branch was 40000 rank in CET in Don Bosco Institute of Technology.
There is an eligibility criterion, you should be having 45% aggregate in physics, chemistry, and maths. You should be from science (maths) background. There are two exams to get in this college COMEDK and CET. COMEDK for students from all India and CET for students from Karnataka. The cutoff is 33000 rank for COMEDK. Well, you can also apply from management quota.
Eligibility: You have to go through COMEDK exams and you must got 55% in 12th board. Admission procedure: After COMEDK result you have to do online counselling where u can select colleges on the basis of your rank then you have to deposit counselling amount to COMEDK. Cutoff: For CSE branch 44000 is the last rank for 2016
Completed PUC/10+2/Equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Computer Science/Electronics/Biology with English as one of the languages of study. For SC/ST/OBC, the minimum aggregate will be 40%
• K-CET is the competitive examination a student should write if he wants a government quote, otherwise, he has to enter with management quota. •Around 90000 rank in K-CET is cutoff for any type of branch entry.
Basically, you should have completed your pre-university course and must have written the entrance examinations like CET, COMEDK, JEE ETC. I had written CET. The cutoff rank for my course I.e., Mechanical engineering was around 50,000.
You have to get minimum marks in puc and we can get through CET comedk allotment or admission can be done directly through management procedure CET or any other exam like COMDEK is required When I joined cut off for ECE was like 45000.
Candidate must clear the KCET exam and must have passed the 12th from the recognized institute to get admission in this college. Candidate must score 30 out of 60 in the qualifying exam.

ELIGIBILITY FOR B.E
Students who have completed 10+2 with good marks in academics. CET or COMED-K exams to be compulsory taken.
B.E degree extends over a period of four academic years.
For admission to B.E./B.Tech. Courses: The student should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC/12th standard or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology as optional subjects with English as one of the languages of study and obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects. In case of candidates belonging to Karnataka Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and other Backward Classes (Category I, 2A,2B, 3A and 3B), the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination.

Students admitted in our Institution should have at least five sets of photo copies of all the documents mentioned above along with 10 passport and 10 stamp size colour photographs. (Three sets of photo copies need to be produced at the time of admission) The students other than PU Board, Bangalore and Karnataka CBSE should apply eligibility certificate from this college.
The students belonging to SC/ST and other categories should submit photo copies of caste certificate, income certificate while applying for students scholarships
