DMI College of Engineering Infrastructure: Library, Hostel, Labs, Gym, Auditorium & Other Facilities

DMI College of Engineering has a state-of-the-art infrastructure with 24*7 Wifi Connectivity. There is a well-built central library with 40,000 volumes of books. Well-equipped sports and fitness facilities are present, keeping in mind the students' physical fitness. A well-equipped gymnasium is available as well. Various clubs have been formed in DMICE to facilitate the extracurricular participation of the students, like the Fine Arts Club, Leo Club, Go Green Club, etc. Some of the basic facilities available at DMICE in detail are listed below.

Library

• An extensive, well-equipped, computerized and spacious library with more than 40,000 volumes and 1200 CDs is available to the students.
• In addition to this, the college subscribes to many National and International Journals, Periodicals and E-journals.
• A professional librarian supervises the library and is open to all college members.
• The library has photocopying facilities, a digital copier, and a network printer.
• All students and staff of the college are members of the Library.
• Apart from the main library, the college also houses separate individual libraries for each department.
• Also, present in the college are excellent reading halls equipped with reference books, handbooks, dictionaries and encyclopedias. The library also stocks back issues of volumes of the periodicals, previous year question papers, and project reports, which are organized department-wise in chronological order.

Sports Facilities

• The college provides indoor & outdoor games, sports and yoga facilities to the hostel inmates to encourage a healthy lifestyle.
• The college conducts an annual sports day, which has track and field events, and individual games and encourages the students, staff and inmates/workers to participate actively.
• To promote healthy competition among the students in the activities and foster qualities like leadership, loyalty and cooperation, the students are divided into different houses.

Canteen

• Delicious and well-hygienic food is served in the DMICE Canteen.
• The menu is often changed according to the taste preferences of the students.

Hostel

• The Hostels at DMI provide the students a secure, friendly and homely atmosphere.
• The institution provides separate furnished hostels for boys and girls within the college campus with an area of 40,000 sq ft building.
• The hostels are maintained and supervised by the Sisters of DMI.
• Apart from providing delicious, healthy and hygienic vegetarian / non-vegetarian food, the Sisters, along with wardens and faculty members, closely monitor the students' activities and help them in their academics during study hours.
• The students can also avail access to newspapers, television & magazines.

Computer Centre

• There are 14 adequately spaced and well-equipped computer labs with over 700 latest computers.
• All the terminals are networked to provide cross-platform applications with a client-server architecture.
• Besides, the centre provides regular C, C++, ORACLE, VB, VISUAL C++, JAVA, UML and Internet facility coursework.
• All students and staff of DMICE have access to the Computer Centre's services - email, software, Internet access and much more.
• WiFi areas are available across campus; some are open 24 hours a day.

Transport

• The college provides an excellent bus network that commutes students and staff from all parts of the city.
• Some buses cater to the requirements of the staff and students to reach college and return to their homes safely.
