There are separate hostel for boys and girls . And the hostel fee is around 5k per month including food and all essentials.the fool in the college is really good. And for the day scholar the cost of food is from 40 rs to 80rs. The quality of classroom is good. labs and libraries are really good And the infrastructure is really awesome

The hostel is good and charges a fee of around INR 40,000 per annum including foods and accommodation. The PG's are better and provide the better facility. The food is very affordable.

There are 2 hostels. The fee is 54 thousand per year. I don't any about that. The food is not so good nor so worst. And the cost is Rs 70(INR).

An extensive, well-equipped, computerized and spacious library with more than 23000 volumes and 1200 CDs is available to the students. In addition to this, the college subscribes to a number of National and International Journals, Periodicals and E-journals. The library is under the supervision of a professional librarian and is open to all the members of the college. Library has photo copying facilities, along with a digital copier and network printer. All students and staff of the college are members of the Library.

Apart from the main library, the college also houses separate individual libraries for each department. Also present in the college are excellent reading halls, equipped with reference books, hand books, dictionaries and encyclopedias. The library also stocks back issues of volumes of the periodicals, previous year question papers, and project reports, which are organized department wise in a chronological order.


The college conducts annual sports day, which has track and field events, individual games and encourages the students, staff and inmates / workers of the college to take part actively. To promote healthy competition among the students in the activities and foster qualities like leadership, loyalty and co – operation, the students are divided into the four college houses namely the Red, Blue, Green and Yellow.


The Hostels at DMI provide a secure, friendly and homely atmosphere to the students. The institution provides separate furnished hostels for boys and girls within the college campus with an area of 40,000 sq ft building.

The hostels are maintained and supervised by the Sisters of DMI. Apart from providing delicious, healthy and hygienic vegetarian / non-vegetarian food, the Sisters along with wardens and faculty members closely monitor the activities of the students and also help them in their academics during the study hours. The students can also avail access to newspaper, television & magazines.

The college provides indoor & outdoor games, sports and yoga facilities to the hostel inmates to encourage a healthy lifestyle. Medical support is available in the hostels with doctor visits from St.Joseph hospital – Poonamallee.


There are 14 adequately spaced and well equipped computer labs with more than 700 latest computers. All the terminals are networked to provide cross platform application with client server architecture. Besides the center has the provision for regular course work in C, C++, ORACLE, VB, VISUAL C++, JAVA, UML and Internet facility.

All students and staff of DMICE have access to the Computer Centre's services - email, software, Internet access and much more. WiFi areas are available across campus, and some are open 24 hours a day.


The college provides an excellent network of buses that commute students and staff from all parts of the city. A number of buses cater to the requirements of the staff and students to reach college and return to their homes safely.
