Christ University Scholarships 2023: Eligibility & Amount

Christ University offers scholarships to eligible students. It assists candidates who cannot pursue higher education due to financial constraints. Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set by the college to avail the facility of scholarships. Further details on the Christ University scholarship are given below.

Merit Scholarship

  • Merit-based scholarships in Christ University are awarded to deserving students basis on pre-entry performance and subsequent success in numerous tests and examinations.
  • Each year in September, the student will be given a merit scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded in the first year based on the merits of the pre-entry grades, mid-semester test, and consistent attendance. Merit scholarships will be awarded for the following years depending on their achievement in one end-semester and two mid-semester examinations each year.
  • A percentage of fees will be refunded as part of the Christ University scholarship. In addition, two merit scholarships will be awarded to each combination. Combinations with multiple sections will be weighted proportionally.

The reduction for fees is in the following way:

Scholarship for Financial Assistance

  • Christ University students must apply for the scholarship with supporting papers to the Office of Awards and Scholarships. A student enrolled in a first-year degree or post-graduate program and is financially disadvantaged yet diligent, particularly from rural areas, is qualified to apply. They should provide sufficient eligibility documentation, including a community/income certificate from a revenue inspector or higher. 
  • Applications will be scrutinised, and the scholarship committee will assess their eligibility after a final interview with or without a parent/guardian.
  • Students who want to apply for Christ University scholarship at the time of admission should complete a separate scholarship application that is accessible with their main application form and submit it to the Office of Scholarships for review. After that, the scholarship committee will interview them on the scheduled dates, and their concessions will be chosen before they pay their fees. The student must execute a bond stating that if they quit the university in the interim, the scholarship will be refunded.

Alumni Association Scholarships

  • The Alumni Association of Christ (Deemed to be University) also assists economically disadvantaged students through the Alumni Fund. Students wanting assistance should contact the Alumni Office, located in the Innovation Centre on the first floor of the IV Block.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : There were no eligibility criteria for my course, but I had to go through an online interview because of the pandemic.  I did not take any entrance exams

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Eligibility criteria: 50% in 10+2 in any subject (I had commerce). I wrote CUET or Christ University Entrance Test. For my course, the minimum cutoff was 60%.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria for admissions to UG programmes at CHRIST UNIVERSITY was a pass mark of 60% in the 12th board exams. The admission procedure included a Common Written Test, Essay Writing and Personal Interview. If passed, the admission, office contacts you for further procedure. The entrance exam I took was CUCET which is the Christ University Common Entrance Test.
