Mangalore University is a reputed university in Karnataka, located in Mangalagangothri which is 20km from the historical site of the city of Mangalore, sets the tone for the educational endeavors of the three districts under the jurisdiction of the University. The university aims to provide top-class education in every field to all students from every corner of the nation. The college is spread in an area of 350 acres of land in Mangalore which is surrounded by the lush greenery of the western ghats. Mangalore University has grown since it has established with over 190 affiliated colleges in the nation, including two constituent colleges. It also has collaborated with international institutions as well. The university is approved by NAAC and UGC.

Back in 19809 when the college started it only offered only 3 post-graduation courses, now it offers over 25 post-graduation courses.
