In BIT Mesra, there are a total of 10 departments under B.Tech and BE programs. It offers admission to the Bachelor of Engineering (BE), Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch), Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma), Integrated courses, etc. BIT Mesra admission into these courses is through a merit list is published after every round by JOSAA. The entrance exam cut offs are based on different programs.

• The admission to B.Tech and B.Arch is done based on the JEE-Maina and NATA respectively. 
• The admission to B.Pharm is done based on the JEE Main/ NEET score, Academic Performance, followed by counselling.
• Admission to M.Tech and ME is done on the basis of GATE score. 
• Admission to MBA is done based on the CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT exam score followed by GD/ PI.
