Bennett University B.Tech Admission: Course, Eligibility, Admission Details 

To get Bennett University admission for B.Tech programmes, candidates must have passed class 12th or equivalent from a recognized board with a minimum of five subjects and 60% marks in 3 specified subjects. For all B.Tech programme except for Biotechnology, Maths and Physics are compulsory subjects. For B. Tech Biotechnology, it is mandatory to have studied Physics along with Biotechnology or Biology. Candidates born on or after 1st October 1999 as per the school/ board, university records are only eligible for admission. Also, admission to all programmes except Biotechnology considers the candidate's JEE Main marks (January or April 2021 Percentile). For B. Tech Biotechnology admission, NEET 2021 marks are required. The university also accepts SAT scores conducted by the College Board.

B.Tech Eligibility for IB/ Cambridge Qualified Candidates

All students must possess 10+2 equivalent certificate from AIU. Admission shall be cancelled in case the candidate fails to produce the certificate.

Eligibility for IB Board

1. Candidate must have secured at least 26 credits or points.
2. Students must have passed at least three HL (Higher Level) and SL (Standard Level).
3. Candidate should have completed DP core, creativity, activity, comprising theory of knowledge (TOK), service (CAS) and extended essay (EE).
4. Students are allowed to register providing provisional admission on the basis of predicted scores from counsellors only after giving the mark sheet of Diploma.

Note: For Cambridge International Examinations (IGCSE), the candidate must have passed at least 5 subjects at ‘O’ level along with English and at least 2 subjects at ‘A’ level. Physics and Biology/ Biotech at ‘A’ level is compulsory for the Biotech programme. For other programmes, Physics and Maths at ‘A’ level is mandatory. Admission for NRI and Foreign candidates requires 10+2 certificate from foreign boards.

Bennett University admission offers two integrated programmes in law that are BA LLB (Hons) and BBA LLB (Hons). The proposed courses have been recognized by the Bar Council of India. The courses provided at the Doctoral level under Bennett University admissions are in the fields of Law, Engineering and Applied Science programmes. PhD candidates must undertake advanced level course work, up to the specified credits as per rules which also includes courses in research methodology. Following that, candidates must qualify in the respective examination at the end of course work. 

• Later on, they must register as scholars and take up intensive research work under the guidance of a supervisor under the respective area or specified problems (Minimum duration of three years).
• The proposed research work should result in new findings in the chosen field. The doctoral programme gives the scholar an opportunity to demonstrate their analytical, innovative and independent thinking.
• Scholars must deliver seminars or showcase their work progress by regularly publishing their work as per PhD norms.

Bennett University PhD Admission Eligibility for Engineering/ Science programmes

A minimum of 60% marks or at least a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale is required in the relevant programme in M.Tech, ME, M.Sc, M.Phil. Applicants with MCA degree are not eligible for PhD in Engineering and Sciences of Bennett University admission.

Bennett University PhD Admission Eligibility for Law programmes

• An applicant must have obtained a master’s degree in Law or any other discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade subject to that the candidate has qualified in Social Sciences, Humanities and Sciences.
• Those who have attended the qualifying examination and waiting for results are also eligible to apply. For this, the candidate must submit the qualifying examination result at the time of registration. Failing to produce the statement evidence, the candidature shall be cancelled.
• Preference would be given to applicants with more than 3-years industry, practising, teaching, managerial or professional experience. 

Note: Those who have participated in PhD admission procedure previously and not selected are not eligible to apply for a minimum of one year, since the last attempt. 

Bennett University PhD Admission Shortlisting and Selection

The shortlisting of candidates or applications for admission test/ interview are done by the doctoral admission committee of the concerned schools on the basis of the profile of candidate as given in the application form. 1. Those who have satisfied the eligibility criteria and shortlisted must appear for Bennett Research Aptitude Test (BRAT).
2. For Engineering and Sciences programmes, an interview will be conducted by a nominated committee of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. 
3. In the personal interview session, the candidate will be evaluated on his interest and motivation in doing research, conceptual clarity on the concerned area as well as past academic and research performances.
4. For Law admission, an applicant is required to present their preliminary research proposal followed by Bennett Research Aptitude Test (BRAT). Followed by the presentation, they will have to submit or upload the same along with the online application.
