  1. There are at present 6 boys hostels and 2 girls hostels in our college. Hostels are good, upto the standard, but not extraordinary. Fees are expected to change every year. Hostels are segregated according to the year of study.
  2. Food is certainly not delicious, but is healthy. Worth the fee you have paid. Each meal may be upto ₹55, as per my knowledge.
  3. Classrooms are good and ambient equipped with IT facilities. Labs are of average infrastructure, but lab equipments reach standards. Dining halls are segregated as per the year of study and are nearer to the respective hostels. Wi-Fi facilities is available all around the campus, but speeds are throttled down and with some restrictions to the websites.

  • There are two hostels for girls and about 4 hostels for boys. The hostel fee is Rs. 15000 per annum and the mess fee is Rs. 44000 per annum (includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, afternoon and morning tea/coffee). Students are discouraged from staying outside the college hostel.

  • The food is clean, there are choices. Overall the mess food is good Amrita University.

  • Every classroom has a projector, good ventilation and can accommodate up to 80 students. The college has well-equipped labs. For aerospace -it has a low-speed wind tunnel. The libraries are well stocked with books related to the course offered in the university, journals, magazines, the university has its own  digital library and has tie-ups with certain universities abroad to access their study material.Free wi-fi is available in the hostels and the academic buildings. The college has an Olympic-sized swimming pool, tennis courts, gym, football ground. All hostels have their own dining halls. The campus is very picturesque, a very green campus.About 45 minutes from the city and hence pollution free.

Amrita University was the youngest university to be awarded with an 'A' grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), an autonomous body established in 1994 by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India to assess and accredit institutions of higher education in the country.   To be eligible to apply for the NAAC accreditation, an educational institution should have completed five years. Amrita University had just completed six years in January 2009 when it applied for the accreditation.   'A' is the highest grade that can be awarded to the best-in-class institutions for higher learning.  In the context of Higher Education, the accreditation status indicates that the particular Higher Educational Institutions meets the standards of quality set by the Accreditation Agency, in terms of its performance, related to the educational processes and outcomes, covering the curriculum, teaching-learning, evaluation, faculty, research, infrastructure, learning resources, organisation, governance, financial well being and student services. The NAAC team was appreciative of the fact that in spite of the multiple campuses, schools and disciplines, the university is very cohesive, vibrant, dedicated and a well managed unit.  Amrita University has the unique distinction of being the nation‘s first of its kind – fully interactive, multi-disciplinary, multi-media, virtual campus without geographical limitations, with all its campuses inter-linked through a satellite link provided by Indian Space Research organisation (ISRO).  The satellite network for education and research that links all the campuses of the university has facilitated leading experts to have academic interaction live from a single centre to students, academicians, and researchers at the other campuses.  This is done through state-of-the-art e-learning studios in all campuses.
