Yes, there is a vast majority of internationally renowned companies that set foot in the university to recruit fresh talent, such as Amazon, airtel, Ranbaxy, etc. However, cashing in on the opportunity of being a part of such firms entirely depends upon the student. 60-70 percent of the batch gets placed from the campus placement and in which they usually fall under the salary bracket of 3.5-6.5 lakhs per annum which can be increased or decreased depending upon the situation and the people involved.
Here, the placement is totally depend on the student. Highest salary (2018) is INR 16 lacs per annum Average salary (2018) is INR 6 lakhs per annum. Here, companies like Flipkart, Amazon and TCS come for recruitment which offers salary on the basis of your skills and language. If you are selected for these companies, then they will offer a salary more than INR 20 lakhs per annum. Students here are not so good as compare to top engineering colleges but the overall system even better than some of the IIT's.
Placements depend upon what you do and learn in the 4 years of college. Maintain a CGPA above 7.0 and you are safe. Also, choose your clubs and committees wisely (I suggest Placement committee). Be in the good books of your professors. At last, it all depends upon your hard work and knowledge. A person with 8 or 9 pointer CGPA, may not get placed at a higher package, but a 7.5 pointer may get placed at a relatively higher package, because the recruiter wants a knowledgeable and efficient employee and not a crammer. Average packages are 3-5 Lakhs PA, however, any student with a master degree gets 5-7 Lakhs PA on an average. The Placement Cell is working hard to bring more companies offering better packages every year. The Alumni network, I think I don't need to stress much. It's really good. Every year, there is an Alumni meeting.
