The Blessed Virgin Mary's Amala Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) is a multidisciplinary medical network with instructional, therapeutic, research, and outreach programmes. Amala Cancer Hospital, which opened in 1978, is where AIMS got its start. The Devamatha Province of the CMI Congregation, founded by St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara, looks after it.
