LIC AAO Prelims Exam Analysis 2019: Difficulty Level, Exam Pattern

LIC AAO (Assistant Administrative Officer) is recruited by LIC through an exam. LIC AAO are tasked with planning new schemes and policies that are offered to the clients. They also supervise the functions of the department they are working in. The following posts are filled through the LIC AAO Exam.

The LIC AAO exam is conducted at a national level and is conducted once a year. The mode of exam is online via a computer-based test. The recruitment process has 3 stages- preliminary exam, main exam and a personal interview. The first stage that is the preliminary exam is conducted in 4 shifts for 2 days. The duration of the preliminary examination is 60 minutes and the language medium for the preliminary exam is English or Hindi.

Exam Pattern for the Interview

  • The authority will summon the candidates who qualify the online examination for the final round- Interview.
  • The call for the interview depends on the number of vacancies. The authority will call the candidates three times the number of vacancies.
  • For the shortlisting process of the interview, the authority will consider the marks secured by the candidates in the main examination and the marks obtained in the interview.
  • The maximum marks for the interview are 60, and the minimum required marks are 8.
  • The qualifying marks are different for all the categories. These include:
    • OBC & PWBD, EWS, Unreserved- 30 marks
    • SC/ST- 27 marks
