The JEE Main cutoff is the minimum score that a candidate needs to score in the JEE Main exam to get admission into many top NITs. Categorically speaking, these are divided into two types of cutoffs.
- Qualifying Cut-off: It is the score of qualifying for the JEE Advanced tests.

Factors Influencing NIT Goa's JEE Main Cutoff
Several factors influence the determination of the cutoff scores for NIT Goa:
- Higher competition: An increase in the number of applicants can result in greater competition and therefore in a higher cutoff.
- JEE Main Exam Difficulty Level: Usually, a harder (tougher examination) will have lower cutoffs, but an easier one will lead to higher cutoffs.
- Cutoff: The existence of limited seats adds to the pressure of the cutoff as not everyone will be able to get a seat in the program.
- Candidate’s Category: There are cutoffs for each category such as General, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and EWS, and reserved categories may have lower cutoffs.
NITs use Home State (HS) and Other State (OS) Quotas and hence, cutoffs of candidates applying to the institute from Home State (HS) would differ with other states.
JEE Main 2025 Cutoff needs to be known well to stand a chance at securing admission to NIT Goa.
