Vivekananda Institute of Technology, [VKIT] was established by the Janatha Education Society [JES] in the year 1997. The college is approved by All India Council for Technical Education [AICTE], New Delhi and recognized by Govt. of Karnataka. The Institution is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University [VTU], Belgaum. The college has good academics and qualified experienced faculties that offer six undergraduate, three postgraduates, and three research programs for the students. Vivekananda Institute of Technology, Bangalore Admission is based on past academic scores and qualifying examinations.

The college provides placements for students through the Training and Placement Centre.
