The university has uniqueness for projecting itself as a center for higher learning in performing arts, fine arts, language, literature, and social services. The three major faculties at Rabindra Bharati University are arts, fine arts, and visual arts. RBU Kolkata has also included academic subjects like geography, human rights and development, sociology, environmental studies, and mathematics for contemporary times.
