There is a placement cell but it is largely focused on the Interior Design Department of the campus. There is also an alumni meet up every year.
Jain University is affiliated with a hostel company called Campus Student Communities. They run the hostel facilities for both genders and all Jain Campuses. There is no wifi available and mobile signal is generally weak. There is one canteen in the basement but a Nandini shop opposite the college to fulfill the need for food. The closest area for PGs and apartments is Vasanthnagar, which is around 1.5 km from the college. It is a very safe area with a lot of pgs but it tends to be fairly expensive. Also, the campus itself is pretty small as it is right in the center of Bangalore behind Vidhan Soudha.
The entrance exam took place in three steps- a multiple choice test which was general across all streams (JET), group discussion, and an interview with a staff member of the campus and you will be joining.
There are generally 6 hours of classes a day of one hour each. There is a five minute break between each class. Classes start at 9:00 a.m and there is a one hour break at 12 p.m for lunch. The number of actually periods held per day depends on the timetable of each year. The teachers are young but very knowledgable.
Jain University, Bangalore Fee Structure. The fee for my course is Rs 1,00,000 per year.
Scholarship options are available to all the students. One must apply using the portal supplied by the class mentor.
There are around 8 different forums for each department in the college- English, Psychology, Journalism, Sports, Music, Dance, Economics, and Environment.
