One has to register at the NMIMS site. If you wish to join after 12th, you have to give NPAT. I was a direct second-year student. I got admission based on my percentage in diploma. First-year engineering students can also apply for direct second year. Cut-off for direct second year is 85% for diploma and 9 CGPA for first year. Class timings are very flexible. If you are familiar with the faculty, they might guide you to write research papers and do classy projects. Assignments are moderate, they push for extra studies outside the syllabus. Teaching is excellent, staff is highly qualified.

Yes, loans are needed for lower-middle-class students. NMIMS is a Category II University, loans are provided easily.

SVKM institutes are known for their cultural festivals. There are many societies, clubs, and associations. The atmosphere is to the level of BITS or Manipal.
