Placements and Internships

3

The placement is quite average. Anyway students with just a simple graduation are not well equipped enough to take up intellectually challenging roles in a company. There are internship fairs every year that offer stipend upto 15000. Main companies offering campus placements are KPMG , EY, GENPACT, INSHORTS, TRESVISTA etc. They offer profiles like sales, marketing, HR, tax analysts, risk analysts etc. The average package is somewhere around 3.5-4 lakhs which is quite decent for a simple graduate. Alumni network is okay. You can connect to them via social media and college page.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

2.5

This is the only area where DCAC lags behind. Infrastructure is not that good. The buildings are not pretty unlike other DU colleges and the campus is quite small. But enough time accommodate the students since there are very few courses in this college. There are no hostel facilities as well however students can get good PGs nearby. The canteen food is hygienic and tasty. Though not many options available. The library is amazing. Classrooms are okay.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

The admission is centralized under Delhi University. It is purely on the basis of merit. Students have to fill the university form and then wait for the cutoffs. The cutoff for economics honours us somewhere around 95.25-97% considering it is one of the most sought after courses in DU

Academics and Faculty

4

Classes are from 8:30 to 2:30 depending on course to course. The examination is common as all the DU colleges. The faculty is exceptionally hardworking in the economics department. The overall experience is great.

Fees and Scholarships

5

Delhi College of Arts and Commerce, [DCAC] Delhi University Fee Structure. The course fee is about INR 8,000 for all the courses except journalism honours.

For journalism, it is around 13,000 since they have journalism labs. However, the brand value that DU has the fee is extremely cheap. Since the fee is so cheap you don't need a scholarship. However, there are some scholarships for ST,SC and OBC.

Clubs and Associations

4

The societies are extremely active. There are 4 commerce societies. The Enactus DCAC is one of the best Enactus teams in India. Cultural societies work efficiently. There are societies like NSS,NCC, poetry etc. Each department has its fest in the even semester. That is the best time of the year. There is a college fest as well named Ambrosia. Students from different colleges visit our college to participate in events and witness fest. Life in college is happening if you are a part of any society.

2.5 Fees

Fees & Scholarships : The course fee is Rs. 8000 per year. However, I am lokoing out for a scholarship in order to fund my MBA which would cost me around Rs 12 Lakhs. Scholarship Options for MBA are less. Around 20 students get a scholarship on need basis. Yes, Loan is required for my MBA . It can be availed easily from all banks.
