Tanisha Arora's Review on Babu Banarasi Das National Institute of Technology and Management

Since I am in second year, I'll be going to have my summer training soon for some language as told before I am a CSE student, you should know a language but if you don't that's absolutely fine. Search for some training centre or coaching (if you are interested in programming). On average, a package of 3 lakhs is provided if you get placed in any of the companies. Highest up to my studies is 7lakh. CSE, EC, EE and IT branches get placed more as compared to any other branch. Our Alumni are spread worldwide, some of which among them are still in contact and all of them are so cooperative and helpful.

Hostels for 1st year is different and kept aloof as to avoid any type of mishandling, hostels for 2nd, 3rd and 4th year are different. It is a ragging free campus. Hostels are then divided into 2 seaters and 3 seaters (depends upon your choice). Hostel fees is INR 75000 for 3 seaters and 90000 for 2 seater A/C rooms are also provided to the students. There are options for PGs and hostels outside the college as well. The food is included in the hostel fees. Hostels are provided with wifi settings, classrooms are made good for the students and teacher interaction.

There are basically two ways to enter this college 1. By AKTU entrance exam 2. Management - The eligibility criteria is 60% in 12th boards exam. Also for B.Tech PCM is necessary. My course is B.Tech from CSE branch and I had my entrance done through AKTU (previously known as UPTU). There are a limited number of seats for the courses and the CSE and IT branch gets filled very quickly.

Classes start at 9am and get over by 5 pm. Lunch hour is 1pm-2pm. Exams are conducted by AKTU university twice a year. 8 semesters are for the B.Tech stream. Teachers are supportive and they provide time to time help to the students with all the study matter. Also they encourage students to be active with the sports and cultural activites happening now and then in college.

B.Tech CSE academic fees is about 1.25 lakh per annum. Also the scholarship options are provided with that is given by the Uttar Pradesh on the basis of specific criteria like

1. 75% attendance in college academics

2. On the basis of caste etc

3. On the basis of your family income per annum

Mostly the scholarship is given to the applicants and for the general, it is to be seen that in their first year they do not receive any amount while in the second year they receive a handsome or almost half the academic fees amount.

Utkarsh is the biggest fest of the college. This year Guru Randhawa was invited for the star night.
