Placements and Internships

4

Placements go pretty good here. The average package is around INR 4 lpa. Big companies such as Microsoft, hp, and Infosys also visit the campus and take many students. Microsoft takes nearly 15-20 students every year. The highest salary for this year has been INR 27 LPA.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

2.5

Not much can be said about the infrastructure. Better than average classrooms and facilities but certainly not the best. 2 boys hostels and 1 girls hostel are there. Lots of PG's around the college. The cost of food is nominal and tastes pretty good.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

Admission can be taken either through KCET entrance examination. I came to this college through COMEDK. Normally the cutoffs for RNSIT is around 3-4k in KCET and around 9-11k in COMEDK.

Academics and Faculty

4

One of the best colleges for academics in Bangalore. Highly qualified and experienced teachers. Class timings go from 8:40 am to 4 pm with 2 breaks.

Fees and Scholarships

2.5

The fee is less compared to other engineering colleges in Bangalore. For 2017-18 batch, the COMEDK fee was around INR 2 lakhs. Scholarships are given to meritorious students from backward classes.

Clubs and Associations

3

College life is better. You can have fun but studies are taken seriously. Few clubs are present in college such as fashion club, acting club, etc. Inter and intra college fests are held every alternate year.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria were having 50% in class 12 to appear for the COMEDK exam. I secured 7254 ranks in the COMEDK exam. After that, I had to appear for the counselling. There were 2 rounds of counselling. If anybody doesn't get the choice of college or choice of the branch they want in the first round then they can appear for the 2nd round. I got my choice of branch in electronics and communication in the 2nd round of counselling. Then I was asked to submit all the documents for the admission procedure at the college. The cutoffs vary drastically for different years papers. But to be in the first 7-8k rank is required to get ECE in RNSIT.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : I started studying at RNSIT in the year 2014 and I was admitted on the basis of my CET ranking. Once the CET counselling results were out, I got this college for computer science branch. The typical CET cutoff here for CSE is around 3k
