Simran Agarwal's Review on St. Xaviers College Kolkata

The college has an active placement cell having a good placement for jobs as well as internships. All types of the industrial company come for placement. The average placement is INR 5 lakh and the highest goes to be INR 18 lakhs pa. It has a great alumni network who works towards the development of the college.

The college has a twin hostel for boys and girls which is 1 km away from college. The hostel fees are of an average of INR 7000 per month. Calcutta is a city where getting pg is not difficult. You can easily find a phone near the college. Classrooms lack ac which is a drawback.

St Xavier's college is a prestigious institution of Calcutta. Generally, the eligibility criteria for the course I took is that the student must have studied maths and English. The college does not have any entrance exam for this course. The general cut off for my department varies from 96% to 94% including maths and English.

The college has compulsory attendance that carries marks. It has a good staff based with experienced and qualified teachers. The overall experience is very good and enriching.

The course fee is INR 70000 pa. Students whose parents are in the low-income group can avail students concession by producing their parent's income tax returns.loans can be taken from banks.

College has many registered and unregistered society that operates all around the year. The main fests of college are Xavoysav, X Caliber, X Celsior. The college has lots of extracurricular activities.
