Patel Prachi's Review on Government Engineering College, Gandhinagar

As the last year student, I'm applying for an internship but yet not selected anywhere. We got many companies that are local and some MNCs also from our college but still, the management was not so good as expected.

Girls hostel has less space then boys. So I had to manage to stay in PG nearby, as I'm not a local person of the city. Yes, the nearby 2 sectors have lots of PGs also with private hostels. About labs, WiFi, or classrooms they are at average.

Eligibility criteria are nearly above an average of 60% and it's second top government college of Gujarat after VGEC, Ahmedabad for B.Tech in Information Technology. The admission process was same as for admission in Diploma in any field. We need to give 10th LC, mark sheet, for a regular student, 12th LC, mark sheet and admission form filling online generating the confirmed admission form. As a student of Diploma studies in IT, I won't have to give any external examination. Cutoffs at our college were nearly 99 percentile, I got 8.8 CPA in diploma below 9 so that gave me admission in GEC, Gandhi Nagar and not in VGEC, Ahmedabad.

The campus is quite cool, with ambitious students, experienced faculties, the lectures goes well put there. But depends on your class students sometimes they mass-bunk the lectures, or even sometimes faculties got busy, also some faculties seems weird with us while some are extra friendly which we love to have them, every student and faculty are peculiar, the ways of teaching and studying for faculties and students are also different. Overall it goes well but still can be much better than now.

We are in Gujarat Government College so definitely we just have to pay the admission fees nearly 500 INR or some more and tuition fee again the same with exam fees depending on no of subjects.

It's above an average, we have some clubs in our college that has quite a good no of members, but many students are unaware of it that makes it like INVISIBLE and yes we have techfest every year in our college, sports completion, also Culfest so yes accordingly that makes a little more enthusiastic support from college for our overall development. In general, it's a nice experience of everything in our college.
