Maahi Virk's Review on Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector-11, Chandigarh

No internship is done. Tata, buyxmart Infosys and club Mahindra are the main companies which are there for hiring. Average salary goes nearby 5lacs per annum to 13 lacs per annum. Last year 45% students got selected in this criteria. Alumni network is a little week. Cant say that they don't come. I personally think that college should keep some track.

There are 3 hostels in the college and 3 outside the college. Each hostel has 120 rooms. Hostels are clean and infrastructure is good. Fees are paid quarterly, approximately INR.2500 for three months. PG and rooms are available but they are a bit costly than the hostel. In college hostel and canteens, meals are very reasonable rated. Quality of classrooms is satisfactory but the library is very up to date. Labs and dining halls are good. Wifi is not available in the college.

At government college for girls sector 11, Chandigarh admissions are based on merit. One should have scored at least 50% marks in the last course done. There are no entrance exams for under graduation courses but there is the entrance test for PG courses where their seats are limited. Usually, the cutoff is 80-90% in recent years

Class timings vary from department to department. Opening time and closing times are same throughout the year. Collage's first lectures start at 9 am and last ends at 4:40 p.m. Teaching methods are old but satisfactory. Teachers and professors are very intelligent and experienced. Overall, its a very unique and knowledgeable experience studying in GCG -11, Chandigarh

MA course fee at PGGCG Chandigarh was 12000 for 1 year for MA English.There are 4 different kinds of scholarship options available for all the students. For category wise and merit wise, there are 3 scholarships schemes. The number of students getting scholarships depends upon the applications and merits. Well, loans are easily available from any of the government as well as the private bank, but most often loans are not really needed.

College light is very good here. Main festivals of the campus in carnival and Youth festival. There are student elections and student unions are there. Eco club is there and youth club is there. One can learn so much in this college.
