Placements and Internships
Internship opportunities are provided by the college but they may or may not provide the stipend. Deeshaw, Microsoft, Techmax, Phobes Marshall's are some great companies which offer internships. Avg salary is around 7 lpa.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
Currently admissions to COEP are through CET. The cutoffs for Mech and CS is pretty high above 95% and for other it could go upto 85%.
Academics and Faculty
Classes start @9 Am and may end up @5 PM or early depending on your branch. Assignments are given to IT people while designing assignments to mech people. Teaching is interactive and fun. Nice.
Fees and Scholarships
75k is the college fees. Tuition fee waiver is available for merit cum means students. 10-15%. State bank of India is associated with college and offers the loan.
Clubs and Associations
There are Technical as well as Cultural clubs and these are famous and work hard to achieve the task in hand. There are in all 4 fests one tech fest one sports fest one gathering and one boat club fest. Life is easy with proper perseverance everything seems decent and you can learn a lot being open to everything you get in this college.
