Entrance Exams & Admissions : The admission process is based on marks obtained in your JEE (Join Entrance examination) or CET(Common Entrance Examination. To start the admission process, students generally need to register for the CAP(Centralised Admission Process). CAP centres are then allocated to all students where the students need to physically be present to verify their JEE/CET/Board Marksheets and other details. PESMCE offers two shifts and both shifts can be selected during CAP process and either shift will be allocated based on availability and marks. Generally, the cut-off for last year(2019) closed at 92 percentile for the Mechanical Branch

Academics & Faculty : Daily routine is quite puntual. College starts at 8:45 A.M with a recess break from 10:45 A.M to 11:00 A.M. Which is followed by 2 hours of lectures and then recess from 1:00 P.M to 1:45 P.M again Every day follows 4 hours lectures and two hours practicals, except Saturdays and one week day, on which there are just 4 hours of lectures or pratical. Teaching staff is good but not at  their best . They have teachers from NIT which have a better ability to teach effectivelly. Overall, it's a good college for those who do not attend regularly The campus is located in the heart of the city
