Placements and Internships

3.5

The placements in our college is good and companies lie Infosys , Wipro , TCS,  recruit from our college. Few core companies like Sankalp electrics, L&T recruit from our college. The average salary is around 3 lakhs/annum. The highest package as per my knowledge is around 6lakhs/annum

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

5

There are more than 10 hostel buildings. The hostels are clean and neat. The average hostel fees is around 6000 per month (includes breakfast and dinner and lunch on holidays). The PGs outside the campus would cost around 3000INR  per month for a 2 member sharing room. The quality of food is decent. It costs around 30 INR for a decent meal. The classrooms and the buildings are extraordinary, anything beyond what people associate with B.Tech colleges

Entrance Exams and Admissions

For admission, you need to clear the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination(WBJEE). Depending upon your rank, you will receive admission. There are no additional cutoffs.

Academics and Faculty

4

Classes start at 9:00 AM sharp, failing which one is not allowed to enter. Projects are allotted in the  senior year. Exams are tough with extremely strict guards. The quality of teaching is good enough for this level. My overall experience in our college was fantastic.

Fees and Scholarships

3.5

The course fee was 70,000 INR per year for the first year and increased by 3000 every year. There is only merit based scholarship available as per my knowledge. Every year around 50 people get the scholarship. Loans are a matter of personal judgement. If the family has enough to sustain the cost then there isn't a requirement for a person to take a loan. Loans are easily available from any bank.

Clubs and Associations

3.5

There are lots of clubs and associations on the campus starting with dance, drama, quiz, all kinds of sports etc. There are even groups that support and promote the Rotary. The cultural fest is the most sought after among the other festivals (tech, sports). The life in our college is as good as it gets. A perfect balance between work and play.
