No, one visits the college for the placement of students, few students got employed in the government sector.
At that time there were 2 hostels and the hostel fee was Rs 2000(INR) per month. PG's are not easily available, if available than at very high cost, minimum 3500 Quality of food was not so good and it costs rupees 70 per meal Quality of classroom, labs etc were good.
Eligibility Criteria was 10+2 in any stream and then entrance test was conducted by the University of Kashmir, the typical cut off at that tym was 60.
The quality of teaching was excellent and classes, exams were conducted on time, the overall experience was really amazing in terms of teaching.
Course fee was 10K(INR) per year at that time, scholarships available were and local fund scholarship by the college itself, the average number of students who got scholarships was 8 to 10 and most of the students need a loan and was easily availed by students from JK Bank.
Student society was really affected by the competent authority, the main festivals were sports day, Role Of IT, Kashmiri Cultural programmes etc. The life, in general, is good in the college.
