Most of the people get placed in TCS from SASTRA and the average salary is about INR 3.5 lakhs p.a. approximately. The highest salary always goes beyond INR 20 lakhs p.a.
The food costs about ₹2500 - ₹3000 per month and the hostel fee per month amounts to ₹800.
SASTRA doesn't have any entrance examinations of its own but it considers the JEE MAIN marks and the board marks. If JEE MAIN is not attended then only the board marks are considered.
The classes are about 35-40 hours per week. Assignments depend upon the faculty. 2 out of 3 monthly tests and the assignment marks constitute the internal marks and the end semester exam constitute the remaining. The overall experience is good.
The tuition fee for me is INR 90000 per year. The next batch might have to pay slightly more than us.
SASTRA is much interested in co-curricular activities so there are many clubs present and the main festivals that SASTRA conducts are Daksh, Kuruksastra, Colosseum, Hinges, Protocol, Carpedium and many others.
