Kajal Bangera's Review on Center For Management Studies (Jain Deemed to be University)

The college just got their new building in Lal Bagh road. The building is pretty good and they have an underground parking lot, accommodating more than 500 two wheelers at a time. The canteens are decent and are within the range of the students' budget.

The libraries have quite a lot of resources needed for the students to gain extra knowledge in mass media and are very helpful in their projects. 

College hostels are located within a minimum of an auto ride. The hostel has its good entertainment room and has WiFi too. The students can cook for themselves if they like.

Center for Management Studies - Jain University is one of the well known colleges in South India for its Mass Communications Program. The Bachelor's program offered here is called Bachelor's in Arts for  Journalism and Mass Communication. This Bachelor's degree includes a wide variety of subjects, including, advertising, public relations, events management, content writing, magazine writing, film theory, journalism and much more. 

The subjects are divided in a carefully analysed manner which allows the students to give each subject its time to learn. This also lets the students decide as to which stream they are really interested in. They can choose two specific subjects to specialize in their final year. 

They have a neat admission procedure. There will be an entrance test in the beginning, the test will mostly be about the current events. The selected applicants further will have an interview round which is usually conducted by the Head of the department. This is the final level in the admission process and the selected students are offered to join the course.

It is overall a challenging course. The teaching faculty is helpful and very knowledgeable. 

The timings differ each year. They accomodate the need for exposure of the students in the second and third year. Mostly, the students can start a part time job in the second half of their day.

The challenges given by the college as projects are helpful to even build on one's resume. The students are given projects such as; to create a PR campaign for well known companies, make efficient short films and advertisements, etc. The college offers interested students to take part in local news channels debates and to be live on air with a transgenderrun radio channel. 

The college offers the students' an all-round knowledge of mass communication which proves to be important when they step into the real world.

The fee per year for the batch of 2017 pass out was INR 1.2 lakh and scholarships are offered by the college and an average of 10 students get the scholarship.

The fee can be a bit too much for certain students and loans are offered by SBI.

CMS-JU is known for its annual festival Lasya. They call emminent actors as judges such as Soha Ali Khan, Salman Khan, etc. They call artists from Coke Studio to perform in the festival as well.

It is a fun experience for the students and is a memory that each student carries forward.

The Toastmasters club in CMS-JU is a very important platform for every student. During their course in this club, the students' lets go of all their stage fears and build on their speaking skills.
