Entrance Exams and Admissions

  • The eligibility criteria for joining the Jawaharlal College of Engineering and Technology is clearing the KMAT KERALA exam or the students can join through management quota also.
  • Their typical cutoff was 70% in physics, chemistry, and mathematics together for KMAT, 50% in above-said subjects for management quota.
  • There is also an NRI quota for which there are a lot of procedures and is also very expensive.

Fees and Scholarships

3

  • My course fee in Jawaharlal College of Engineering and Technology is around Rs. 60k per annum including textbooks due to my reservation.
  • Actually, the fee amount comes up to Rs. 75k per annum for govt quota (CEE), Rs. 99k per annum for management quota, and around Rs. 150k per annum for NRI quota.
  • Scholarships are available, only to those students who have cleared CEE Kerala meritoriously or to those who fall under SC/ST/OBC category or economically backward students.
  • There are scholarships for any number of students if they perform meritoriously after joining the course in semester exams.
  • Education loans, if needed are provided by banks like SBI/SBT/PNB/Garmin Bank etc. The college assists in easy obtaining of the loans.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria and admission procedure include following requirements:  You have to choose science stream in 11th and 12th classes in school. And it's better to choose Computer science or any other technical subject for that instead of biology. It will be very helpful while pursuing B.Tech. The 11th and 12th must be completed under an affiliated school or certified board(state boards, CBSE,ICSE, etc.)   You have to apply under Kerala Technological University and appear for entrance exam conducted by them. The applying procedure will be given in the prospectus of the entrance programme. It will be commencing around 1st week of January every year. Also, you can join a college in Kerala under management or NRI quota, but for management quota, you must qualify for the entrance exam. Rest of the details shal

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The admission in Jawaharlal College of Engineering and Technology, Palakkad is purely based on the score that we get in the entrance examination. I gave my KEAM entrance examination. We should have 60% or above marks to secure a rank in KEAM entrance examination.
