Placements and Internships
- Most of the top IT companies like TCS, Accenture, TEKsystems, etc. Even consulting and analytic firm like MuSigma came to recruit few students in College of Engineering and Technology, [CET] Bhubaneswar. Other high-end companies include SAP, Maruti Suzuki, Asian Paint and Vodafone.
- The salary package is Rs. 3 lakhs per annum to Rs. 12 lakhs per annum.
- Talking about internships, students go for internships all along the time of the year. Not only is internship confined to core companies but also MNC companies during the summer and winter holidays.
- The only trouble students find is that they have to find the internships themselves.
- College does not provide any on-campus internship for the students.
- In the process, many students remain idle during holidays.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- The classrooms in College of Engineering and Technology, [CET] Bhubaneswar are spacious enough to fit in students and well equipped with projectors.
- The whole college has wifi facilities all over the campus.
- There is a central library which contains all the books for different branches.
- Another facility available is book bank which provides a book for one semester at a nominal price.
- There is two boys hostel and two girls hostel within the campus.
- The hostel fee is around Rs. 7,000 per semester.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- The JEE MAIN is the main entrance you need to get through to study B.Tech in College of Engineering and Technology, Bhubaneswar.
- I took the OJEE entrance examination which had a high cutoff of around 1508 rank.
- Different branches had different cutoffs, the highest being the Civil and Electrical Engineering.
Academics and Faculty
- Although the lecturers are from the best colleges of India and have a huge base of knowledge, the way they impart the knowledge is questionable.
- The mode of teaching in College of Engineering and Technology, [CET] Bhubaneswar is good.
- Whiteboards and smart classes are used for teaching here.
- Some faculties are very helpful during exams and take extra classes if needed.
Fees and Scholarships
- As it is a government accredited College, the course fee is less than Rs. 2 lakh for four years if you do not stay in a hostel. This really makes a difference.
- Scholarships include Medhabruti(CAFAS) which is given to the top rankers of OJEE which is Rs. 10,000 per year in College of Engineering and Technology, [CET] Bhubaneswar.
- Another scholarship is given to the top 20% of every branch.
Clubs and Associations
- CET has all kinds of clubs honing the skills of many students in here they are E-CELL, CITADEL, ZAIRA.
- Many other clubs are there which help organize the fest like CET- XTASY during February month of every year.
- Many colleges from all over Odisha come over to participate in here.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : One can join the College of Engineering and Technology, [CET] Bhubaneswar through JEE mains. To get through a core branch one needs an all India rank in the range of 60,000 to 80,000.

Academics & Faculty : The scarcity of able Teachers, and taken for granted attitude of the majority of teachers are deteriorating the quality output. But certain Professors are of par excellent quality who are saviors of the Institution. Class timings and academic Time tables are suitable and not so rigorous. Campus life can be enjoyed a lot with studies. The quality of teaching is very good at College of Engineering and Technology. The overall experience is average at this college.
