  • I have pursued my summer training(after 2nd year) from Greenland motors Allahabad (no stipend).
  • Only TCS is the key company that recruit here( due to the irregular management of TPO cell ) salary figure up to Rs 3.6 lacs per annum IERT Allahabad.
  • Alumni are very good one of our senior from civil became IAS(2015) some are in PSUs and in respective positions in several industries.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

2.5

  • 1 boys and 1 girls hostel with a fee of Rs 60000 per annum with horrible infrastructure and facilities are there at IERT Allahabad.
  • Rooms are available outside college with cost (Rs 1200-2000 per month lodging).
  • Food is ordinary in the hostel, if you are not in the hostel you have to starve for good food here, hotels serve below ordinary quality food here, so students make their own food and their whole creativity and time which should be used in their course, consumed in making and arranging meals.
  • No wi-fi here, labs are good but the problem is irregular facilities in the lab, the library is ordinary.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

  • The eligibility criteria are simple that is 12 passed for 1st-year student and for lateral entry student it can be diploma or BSc.
  • Previously, entrance examination was UPSEE (state entrance exam of up), according to the latest news from session 2017-onwards it will take admission through JEE MAIN.
  • Currently, only 3 branch is open there (CS, Electronics , Industrial Production) expected cut off for these branches is under 10000 rank (based on previous records).

Academics and Faculty

2

  • The class timings are from 9 am - 4:30 pm (mainly, it may vary due to labs ).
  • Academics is  below average here, due to the shortage of permanent faculty guest faculties also teaches here.
  • Labs have irregularity here and teachers are not practical here (apart from permanent faculty in labs ) does not focus on learning.
  • Overall experience is not good here (some feel that they are trapped here ) feels that it wastes energy and creativity from students at IERT Allahabad.

Fees and Scholarships

3.5

  • The course fee is Rs 56000 per annum at IERT.
  • Yes, scholarship scheme of UP government (by samaj Kalyan ) available to every student (family income < Rs 2 lac).
  • From students who satisfy the criteria, approx 85% students got the scholarship.
  • From private organisation, scholarships are also provided (need to satisfy their eligibility criteria)
  • If loans are required anyone can get  a loan by applying in the bank.

Clubs and Associations

4

  • Mainly no student club is running here, there are a cultural committee and sports committee for students (also mismanaged).
  • There is a cultural festival - Udhbhav,  Tech fest -Technovation and sport also at IERT Allahabad.
  • My college life seems awful (due to college) but my friends make it awesome and unforgettable.
