Placements and Internships

I only get my state stipend which is about Rs 10,000 per annum.
Tech Mahindra, NHPC, POWER GRID, Asahi India glass limited and many more.(basically, I am talking about my own electrical department)
The average salary figures were Rs 5-6 lacs pa and the maximum salary figure of my knowledge is Rs 11.2 lacs per annum at North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology, [NERIST] Itanagar.
A regular interaction with the alumni had been made, where I found out that many are placed in many good companies.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

There are 7 hostels for boys and 2 hostels for girls. The hostels are average and the hostel mess fees are approx. Rs 1500 per month.
It is a fully residential college. All the students are accommodated in the hostels at North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology, [NERIST] Itanagar.
Foods are not so good and per meal cost cannot be calculated.
The quality of classroom, labs, libraries and dining hall is average. Wi-Fi is good and other infrastructures are recently been upgraded.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

The eligibility criteria are that I should be giving my 12th and qualify the NERIST entrance exam.
Admission procedure was through a counselling done the college itself.
I took the NEET (nerist entrance exam).
There are no such cutoffs, I should pass my class 12 without any compartment and qualify the entrance exam.

Academics and Faculty

Normally the class timings are from 8 am to 5 pm from Monday to Friday.
Projects are given at the end year of each module and mid-semester and end semester exams are conducted.
The quality of teaching is average and depends on the teacher to teacher.
It was a very good overall experience at North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology, [NERIST] Itanagar.

Fees and Scholarships

The course fee is around Rs 2000 per semester which makes it Rs 4000 per year.
State scholarship, NEC scholarship, National portal scholarship are there.
Approx 70% of the students get a scholarship at North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology, [NERIST] Itanagar.
No loans are needed.

Clubs and Associations

SUN (student union of nerist), each state has its own state student association.
RACAF(cultural fest), SHRISTI(technical fest) and SYNERGY(sports events) are there at North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology, [NERIST] Itanagar.
The life in the college is awesome.
