Placements and Internships
- TCS is the first key company which arrives for campus recruitment on a mass basis at Asansol Engineering College, Bardhaman.
- From IT and CS great number of students, larger than 80% have been selected this year but the percentage is lesser in the core branch.
- This company mentioned gives a salary figure of about Rs 3.67 lacs per annum.
- Alumni of this college also help us giving a chance to enter into their companies and helps us to acknowledge about their company on a regular basis.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- There are three hostels separate for first-year boys, the senior boys and girls at Asansol Engineering College, Bardhaman.
- The fee is about Rs 1500/- per month for lodging and Rs 2000/- for food.
- Outside of college there are lots of arrangement available like PG and will cost approx Rs 4000 to 7000/- with the food included.
- Food of this college is average and it is very cheap in cost like Rs 25/- per meal.
- The college has very well groomed classes and very high facility labs.
- There are wifi facilities all around the college campus which has a good quality of speed.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- The year was 2013 when I was admitted to Asansol Engineering College, Bardhaman.
- I can still remember the rush for admission in our college.
- I had given JEE MAIN and WBJEE entrance examinations and got 54066 and 6785 rank respectively.
- I got Asansol Engineering College with help of my WBJEE rank whose criteria for mechanical was up to 7500 approx.
Academics and Faculty
- The college starts at 9:30 and each theory class has given 1 hour and laboratory classes have given 3 hours.
- There are two class tests in every semester before university exams. And every class ends with two or three assignments.
- The quality of teaching is approx an average and teachers are good enough to make the students understand every topic clearly at Asansol Engineering College, Bardhaman.
- Two or three teachers are really my favourite and till now I am happy with this college as it gave me tonnes of opportunities and cleared my doubt about the career.
Fees and Scholarships
- The course fee for a year is Rs 80000/- at Asansol Engineering College, Bardhaman and students belong to SC, ST can avail the scholarship given by central government.
- The average number of students is about 20 in each discipline who availed the scholarship mentioned above.
- For students coming from General caste like me had to take a loan.
- I got my loan from Punjab National Bank.
- It was approved very easily within three days.
Clubs and Associations
- There are many student societies in college like Mechanical Engineering Society, cultural societies, every department has their particular association at Asansol Engineering College, Bardhaman.
- Tech fest is organised in this college and also cultural events are held with lots of participation.
- There is an annual sports week in every year.
- In college, you can see lots of possibilities for your career.
- Here you are not forced to learn but got to learn.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Candidates can apply for the trade using the score card of jee-mains or wbjee. I was admitted here through my wbjee course. The cut-off varies every year.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : The candidate must clear the WBJEE exam and must have passed the 12th from a recognized institute.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : One has to qualify in WBJEE or JEE Mains. To get admission into AEC, one will have to attempt JEE Mains, wherein I scored 7301 AIR, through which I got selected.
