Placements and Internships
- I did my internship at Mumbai with a company named Vinman engineering private limited which produces machine assembly parts required for the automobile.(ex-washers, camshafts).
- The duration was 30 days.
- Now talking about the key companies that hire us are KPIT, Mercedes Benz research development India(MRDI), Mindtree, Tech Mahindra, BOSCH, Continental etc.
- The average salary figure per year is Rs 4 lakhs per anum and the highest salary figure is Rs 5 lakhs per anum.
- Our alumni network really guided us especially in recruitment process for various companies at KLSGIT.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- There are 3 hostels. In campus, we have two that is one boy's hostel and girls hostel and another we have outside the campus.
- Hostel condition is good but not very good especially toilets.
- Food is good but still there is a need for betterment.
- Labs, library facilities, wifi access and all other conditions are superb at KLSGIT.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- The eligibility criteria for our college is based on KCET rank and final exam result( percentage).
- I took admission through KCET entrance examination, my rank was 5347.
- Rank was within the state cutoff for our college which was 6000 for mechanical branch.
- I am a mechanical engineering student at KLSGIT.
Academics and Faculty
- Our college starts at 8am in the morning till 2pm.
- In a week there are two labs (two days).
- Labs are usually held in morning all the teachers are having a minimum experience of 20 years which is a very good thing.
- In each semester there are 3 internal exams (best of two) and a lab internal both written and lab carry 25 marks.
- For mechanical engineering, we have different projects such as manufacturing an F1 car under events such as supra, Baja etc which makes you understand about an automobile and it's each part.assigmmemts are given before the commencement of internal exams.
- We have both quality and quantity it was a nice experience for me at KLSGIT.
Fees and Scholarships
- The course fee through KCET is Rs 36000 per year.
- For COMEDK students, it is Rs 1.5 lakh and by the management, it is Rs 4 to 5 lakh at KLSGIT.
- For me to get a scholarship is very difficult because we come under JAIN that also GM.
- I am facing lot of problems so please provide scholarships money.
- I don't know about loans
Clubs and Associations
- There are student societies and clubs in which students can share their individual opinion and difficulties they are facing.
- In every even semester we have a big non-technical event called 'AURA' where some big personalities will be visiting our campus last year we had Vishal and Shekhar two famous music directors on our campus they performed (sung few songs)
- Apart from this we also conduct technical events such as for mechanical engineering we have 'OCCULUS' and so on.
- The life i college is far better than working in MNC'S companies especially in our college we have great atmosphere to learn and enjoy.
