Placements and Internships

I am a b.tech final year student pursuing degree in carpet and textile stream. The college IICT bhadohi is the only collage in Asia providing bachelors degree in this stream. As it is located in a city which is also popular as CARPET CITY. Hence it becomes easy to gain practical knowledge along with theory. I have done internship twice ( in 2nd and 3rd year) from vardhman spinning and general mills, Ludhiana. I have gain a lot of practical knowledge and learn about the environment of industries. Stipend are also given to the students during internship as per company policy.
The key companies which provide internships and jobs are vardhman,Reliance,Raymond,tridant and other international and local carpet and textile industries. Many study tour are also organised by the college from these industries.
As in textile and carpet stream the initial package is somewhat low (avg Rs 3 lakhs per annum and maximum Rs 5 to 6 lakhs per annum). But this collage provides 100% placement record till date.
Alumini network is very much strong in this branch which helps freshers in his career.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

This college provides excellent infrastructure to the students. There are mainly three hostels one for girl, one for 1St year boys and one for senior boys. As due to only single stream the number of students per year is 60. Hence hostel is enough for the students. The cost of hostel per year is Rs 6725. And the fooding costs Rs 26000 per year.
The pgs near the college costs Rs 2000- 5000 per month as per facilities provided.
Per meals cost Rs 77. The quality of food is good.
Classrooms are well maintained. Facilities of library and labs of well standard. WiFi facility is also available both in academic Block and hostel area.

The admission is done on the basis of JEE main rank.

For general catoegry the cutoffs goes upto 100000 rank till spot round. I have cleared jee main to get this college through counselling.

Academics and Faculty

Class timings are daily from 10am to 5 pm. Projects are given to the student in 7th and 8th sem. Which contains it's own marks. One semester involves two mid sem and one end sem exams. Assignments are given to the students according to the subjects in a semester and contain a good weightage of marks.
Education quality of this institute is very good. It provides knowledge mainly based on practical skills. It is a very good institute if you don't get a good branch in IIT and Nits. It is a institute under ministry of textile government Of India.

Fees and Scholarships

The expenditure for the course is Rs 110000 per year.
There is no scholarship programme by the college but the student may get scholarship as per his state scholarship schemes.
As I am studying here by paying the fees through loan only. Loans are easily provided by the banks like SBI, BOB,PUNJAB NATIONAL BANK etc.

Clubs and Associations

There are many societies and clubs are running by the students. Sports and cultural months are specified for the students for all round development.
Life in college is just awesome.
