Placements and Internships
- Placements still focussed on. Key companies are IT companies. Few electronics and electrical companies come here for the placements.. However, a good placement record since quite a few years now.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- Infrastructure could be improved specially labs and canteen areas. Library also needs to provide more books to students.
Academics and Faculty
- Good but can be improved. Need more Professors and better lab facilities.
- Method of teching can be made more technically friendly with availability of projectors, speakers etc.
Fees and Scholarships
- Student scholarships must be encouraged. Top 5-10 students from each section should get some form of scholarship so that more competition exists among students.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The college is affiliated to GGSIPU and takes in students on the basis of IPU CET, a common entrance test for Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. Then you have to go through different rounds of online counseling which is based on a centralized system. Further, you will be allotted colleges on the basis of your rank and choice.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria to get admission in Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology is to have a minimum of 60% in PCM of class xii and having a good rank in entrance test conducted by GGSIPU. The entrance test conducted by GGSIPU for engineers is known as'CET Delhi' and test is conducted in May-June, admission procedure starts from July 3rd. Since MAHARAJA SURAJMAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLGY is one of the most reputed colleges of GGSIPU so the student must achieve a rank within 10000 to get admission in this college. To get the best stream like computer science they must get rank within 4000.

Academics & Faculty : The class schedule was a little hectic. The exams are too many and assignements were fine, but mostly theoretical. The quality and method of teaching was not great but not too bad as well. The overall experience was fine.
