Placements and Internships

3.5

Getting placed is not an issue here. A number of services as well as product based companies arrive in the college only to pick the competent candidates. Mass recruitment is around INR 3 lakh to INR 6 lakh per annum. But some companies do offer packages till INR 12 lakh per annum. Off-campus placements are even higher. The alumni association is very active and do hold the regular session with the students.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

2

There are the hostel, catering needs for both girls and boys. The rooms are shared in 3 to 2. The rooms are so good. I must say, not exactly like the one will find in a private college like SRM. The PG culture is quite strong and safe for girls around the college hence finding a PG is not an issue. In the college, a floor is fully air-conditioned and the rest are non-air-conditioned. There is also a cricket ground and a makeshift volleyball court. The college has basic amenities but lacks in quality and management.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

The college is affiliated to GGSIPU and takes in students on the basis of IPU CET, a common entrance test for Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. Then you have to go through different rounds of online counseling which is based on a centralized system. Further, you will be allotted colleges on the basis of your rank and choice.

Academics and Faculty

4.5

The class timings are 9 am to 2:30 pm for the morning shift and 11 am to 5:30 pm for the evening shift. The college faculty keeps you on your toes around the year, students are provided with the assignment, and notes, etc. Teachers are well informed and patient. Academically it is the best college in GGSIPU. But the college has limited infrastructure and rigid scheme towards extracurricular activities other than studies.

Fees and Scholarships

2.5

The course fee is around INR 1.30 lakh per year. The scholarship opportunities are narrow but loans from banks are easily available. There are the number of banks around the college that do provide loans at nominal interest.

Clubs and Associations

3

There are 3 non-tech societies that are aimed at the social initiative and student development. The technology society is IEEE. The clubs are quite active. The college management, however, doesn't support much of the club activities as part of their restrictive scheme mentioned earlier. The clubs in the college do organize fests, such as culture, sports and tech fest that are comprehensively conducted on the campuses.

Academics & Faculty : The class schedule was a little hectic. The exams are too many and assignements were fine, but mostly theoretical. The quality and method of teaching was not great but not too bad as well. The overall experience was fine.
