Placements and Internships

2.5

  • We had to hunt for internship on our own although if a students finds it difficult to get one, the faculty is ever helpful and helps to secure one.
  • The placements aren't up to the mark there is a lot of scope for improvement.
  • The alumni put in good effort to help in the college placements. One a personal note I would love to go back to this college to hire students.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

3.5

  • There's plenty of room for everyone at the hostels as the hostels are airy and spacious. Hostel life is world apart and very memorable.
  • There are others low cost options available outside hostels like apartments on rent and PG's.
  • The food in the canteen is on an average side. I really miss the puri bhajji.
  • The infrastructure is pretty good with all the required facilities although the campus is a bit small.

Academics and Faculty

4

  • Projects are very interesting and getting fun to make them. Exams are not very tough. To do assignments is to be fun and throughout provoking. The quality of most faculty is good and there's lots of scope for improvement and learning. This small yet warm college will always hold a special place in my heart. My three years here have been the most memorable and cherished ones in my life. It changed me in a huge way and if I had the choice, I would go back there!

Fees and Scholarships

4

  • Don't remember the fee structure.
  • But there are loads of opportunities for foreign exchange program with scholarships! It's amazing, the kind of opportunities available here.

Clubs and Associations

4.5

  • There are many clubs and societies in the college. There is a network for explorers, artists, journalists, dancers with clubs for every one who has a hobby or a passion or just wants to learn new things. The most important fest there is Article 19, the annual media fest of the college.
  • There's also Utsav, the annual cultural fest of Manipal University.
  • There's so much more! College life is the best! I am elated that I studied there and made loads of memory. I wish I could live that beautiful life again.

Academics & Faculty : The classes start from 9 in the morning and ends at 4 with some breaks and assignment/library hours in between. This course have more of practicle works (i.e projects like feild work, recording, documenting and soon) which keep increasing with the course of time. There is external marking and internal marking. External examinations are usually practical work or sometimes written. This is a 3 years course and in the 1st 2 years the acadamic is not that hectic, this allows the students to take part in cultural programes even take out time to create their own documentaries, flims and also develop their hobbies on photography, paiting soon. The college not only support the sudents in acadamics but also develop oneself in other areas too. Manipal has one of the best faculty and are at help for the student at any time.
