  •  There is only boys hostel in college campus and girls hostel outside college campus and hostel fees is very high about Rs 1 lakh per annum.
  • There are many PGS and flats outside college campus.
  • Food is not so great in canteen even though canteen owner is very great man.
  • If we see other btech colleges other than iits infrastruture is quite good and there are many labs for each subject and you can learn many things. but there is wifi only in  cse department only for teachers. there is one libraray not so good but you can work in libraray.

Academics and Faculty

3.5

  • The college has 2 shifts. The first shift starts from 8.15am to 3.45pm  and second shift starts from 11.45am to 6.45pm and college usually remain open 5 days a week. you have to give projects in 6th 7th and 8 th semester and college usually takes 2 sessionals per semester and 1 assignment usually is given per subject per semester.
  • Quality of teaching is good if you are keen on studying hard you can get at least 80% easily. Method of teaching is same as other institutes.
  • Personally I love that college because there is no checking of attendence. you can go to college if you want to or not if you dont want to.

  •  The fees per year for student is ninety-seven thousand and two hundred fifty rupees.
  • Scholarship is available for university toppers and college toppers.

  •  There are many societies in college like iiit and other clubs.
  • The college conducts its own cultural fest and sports fest.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : One need to qualify CET exam, held every year in the month of March-April. As far as rank is concerned, one need to score a good rank in CET, to get their favourite branch and shift. Well, I got 546 rank, in the (lateral entry) to b.tech programme. And I choose I.T branch.  This is the ideal rank for getting admission in MAIT.

Academics & Faculty : The teaching department at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (MAIT) is excellent and quite experienced. Most of them have thorough knowledge about their respective topics and have years of teaching experience. The faculty for Fluid Mechanics in the Engineering Department are very good but aged; hence some find a sort of generation gap. Some are extremely nagging and harass you to the core. Sometimes the lectures are conducted on an irregular basis as well. Overall, the staff is quite good and friendly and conduct lectures mostly in English.
